2017    i ll tell you my sins   il trono di spade 3 stagione

After a challenging couple of days, Tom Dumoulin laid his hands on the most important maglia rosa of the Giro d'Italia, the final one. Dumoulin put in a superb effort in the final time trial from Monza to Milan, to take second place on the stage and make up more than enough time to climb above Nairo Quintana in the overall standings. Dumoulin beat the Colombian by just 31 seconds with Vincenzo Nibali finishing third overall. An emotional Jos van Emden made it a doubly good day for the Dutch with the stage victory, just ahead of Dumoulin. The Grande Partenza will set things off in Sardinia on May 5 in Alghero with a lengthy km road race to Olbia and overall winner will be crowned three weeks later upon its conclusion following a flat 28km time trial to Milan on May

The run for home is nice and easy, apart from a very fast corner with m to go. To win the stage, you must be in the first ten wheels at this point.

Another sprint stage another win for Fernando Gaviria Quick-Step Floors , who took his third win of the race in what is turning into a dream debut Grand Tour. Stage 12 looked all set for Sam Bennett to take his first Grand Tour stage win after having finished in third place on three occasions so far in this Giro. With Marezko finishing second behind Gaviria today, this is now the longest that the Italians have ever had to wait for a stage win in their home Grand Tour. Largely flat, km in length, and inevitably destined to finish in a bunch sprint, today was a day where you had to spare a though for the poor riders told to get into the break in the pre-stage team meeting. After simmering under the surface for the last week, the mountains classification is poised nicely heading into the Alps at the end of the week.
